Jurgen started his acting career in Germany where he gained theatre experience in a variety of genres from musicals ('Jungle Book') to classics ('Merry Wives of Windsor'). Theatre critics have stated he has a great stage presence.

 

In the UK Jurgen has focussed on collaborating in films when he re-started his career in 2007. He is often cast for parts of villains, evil people, and dubious characters, but has also shown his more vulnerable side in portraying the suffering father of his pregnant daughter (in 'The Womb') or as fighter for justice (in 'Hope Towers' where he plays a wheelchair bound doctor), and gone down a brave road with his portrait of a speed dating transvestite (in 'Speed Dating').

 

Generally Jurgen is used in films to portray a range of characters from different countries, such as Brazil, Cuba, Columbia, Haitii, Spain, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Irak.
